2026 Season 

Wayne Applehans, joins the Columbine Recreation District as our new Youth Tennis Player Development Coach bringing over 40 years in both Colorado and Washington State tennis. His accomplishments as a player and coach at the highschool, intramural, and club level combined with his passion for player development will provide a strong foundation for our program moving forward. 

Wayne continues to play tennis 4-5 times per week competing at the NTRP 4.5/5.0 level and recently served as an ambassador for the Youth division of the Colorado State Open. He is excited to pass on his love for the game and help our kids build their own legacy in tennis that will last a lifetime.

Junior Team Tennis competes in the Colorado Tennis Association (CTA) league. Youth 8-18 who qualify as novice, intermediate or advanced are invited to play.
Players of like abilities will be placed on a team and compete against other teams in the area. 

1. All Matches are played on Monday, Practice is TBA
2. Home Matches will be played at Marker Park
3. Parents must provide transportation to matches played away 
4.  Teams not meeting the minimum # of required players will be given the opportunity to play internal matches at Marker park.  
5. Players must sign up for a FREE USTA membership to play
